WORLD'S HEALTH DAY

World health day is to mark WHO’s founding and is seen as an opportunity by organizing to draw worldwide attention to a subject of major importance to global health. It is celebrated every year on 7 April.
Health is the level of functional and metabolic efficiency of a living organism.
In human’s it is the ability of individuals or communities to adapt and self-manage when facing physical, mental phycology, and social changes.
The world health organizations (WHO) defined health in its 1948 constitution as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and no merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
What can we do to be in a healthy life style?
•  Brush and floss daily to keep your teeth and gums healthy and free of disease.
•  Get a good night rest.
•  Enjoy regular family meals.
•  Smile and laugh out loud several times a day.
•  Meditate, pray or otherwise find solace.
•  Get a pedometer and let it motivate you to walk, walk and walk.
•  Stand up straight.
•  Try yoga.
•  Power up the protein.
•  Have positive attitude
Depression is the leading cause of ill health worldwide according to the World Health Organization. It is estimated that more than 300 million people are living with depression

 In our school, we had a road rally from our school to maradhoo Feydhoo football ground and back to our school. The Prefects had made posters on depression let’s talk which was the theme for the health day. Students wore the activity uniform the scouts and little maids wore there uniform. Messages about depression and how to prevent it were given by some of the students.
